Whats wrong with the 5D Mark II is how expensive it is. That is why I call the D90 the worlds first affordable slr camera with video. There is alot to be worked on but it is a first generation. Enough said. Also, in regards to nef(raw), adobe lightroom 2.1 and photoshop cs3 and all nikon software are all updated and fully support D90 and nef as of this writing.
I’ve heard that it is currently impossible to convert RAW files on the D90, even with their expensive software. Is this because as the man said the d90 is only aimed at ‘the family man’ and so their market isn’t really intrested in producing high quality images.Even if this product is only meant to be an expensive holiday camera it seems a bit dishonest to have a function on a new camera that it is not actually possible to use, I believe the d80 had similar problems.
i think for all aspiring film makers the video function is very important. i can imagine it being used a lot in indy films. and snowboard videos. i want it!
Don’t think he knows about the 5D Mark II.
